With a distinguished academic profile, Mr Bobby Dasari boasts a portfolio of over 120 full publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented more than 200 abstracts at both national and international meetings. This extensive body of work underscores his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and contributing to the scholarly discourse in the field.
Mr. Dasari works as a Consultant HBP and Liver Transplant Surgeon with a vast experience in liver, bile duct, pancreas surgery including gall bladder, and hernia problems.
Mr Dasari completed his specialist surgical training in the United Kingdom and obtained CCT. Prior to this, he completed surgical training in India and worked as Assistant Professor in Surgery in reputed medical colleges. During these years, in addition to high volume general surgery, he got trained in some of the best HPB, Vascular Surgery, Intestinal failure surgery, Emergency surgical and Endoscopy units. He went on to complete further fellowships in complex Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic surgery, Liver Transplantation at Birmingham, Leeds. He also completed visiting fellowships from Asan Medical Centre and Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
He currently is a Consultant Surgeon at the world renowned Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK, specialising in complex HepatoBiliary and Pancreatic surgery, Liver Transplantation, advanced minimally invasive surgery. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor at University of Birmingham, UK. He has private practice at Circle Group of Hospitals (Priory, Edgbaston), Birmingham. He also provides Expert Witness reports in medico-legal matters.
Mr. Dasari has specific interest in surgical and multidisciplinary management of complex colorectal liver metastases, hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma. He has been active in promoting liver transplantation for patients with colorectal cancer, cholangiocarcinomas, and neuroendocrine tumours. He has been a member of several national and international specialist commissioned committees promoting better liver surgical outcomes and to advance the field of transplant oncology.
He is a member of the national surgical societies – AUGIS, GBIHPBA, International societies - EAHPBA, IHPBA, ILTS and is actively involved in training younger surgeons from across the world.
He is passionate about research in liver regeneration, offers medical education and has published over 120 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and digital media.
His broad clinical and surgical experience allows him to offer personalised care to the patients in order to achieve best surgical and oncological outcomes.
